After an incredible cliffhanger on the Tulsa King Season 2 finale, the show is set to return for a third season later this year.

Paramount+ announced that Sylvester Stallone, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Annabella Sciorra, and Neal McDonough will all return to their criminal endeavors in Tulsa when the show returns on Sunday, September 21.

The last time Tulsa King viewers saw Dwight Manfredi, he was being dragged out of his girlfriend’s bedroom in the middle of the night. Many assumed it was the FBI finally catching up to him.

Now, the new season will find Manfredi and his network of homemade criminals expanding the empire he worked so hard to build. However, he will be facing an adversary more dangerous than the ones we met in the first two seasons.

While Manfredi continues to play by the rules of the world he knew before prison, his new enemies play a different game. The Dunmires are a family of old money who threaten to destroy everything Manfredi has built, putting his family at risk.

As Manfredi readies his family to fight a new enemy, Tulsa King Season 3 will also introduce a new character played by Samuel L. Jackson. In July, Variety confirmed he would be the star of the new spin-off, Nola King.

To get fans excited for this new series, the character of Russell Lee Washington Jr. will be introduced in Tulsa before making the big move to New Orleans.

Robert Patrick, Beau Knapp, Bella Heathcote, Chris Caldovino, McKenna Quigley Harrington, Mike “Cash Flo” Walden, Kevin Pollak, Vincent Piazza, Frank Grillo, Michael Beach, and James Russo will also return for the new season, with Garrett Hedlund and Dana Delany.

Back in November 2024, Deadline announced Stallone was signing a deal with Paramount+ that would keep Tulsa King going for a third and fourth season.

This news doesn’t come as a surprise when Paramount+ credits the show as “the number one global Paramount+ Original Series in 2024 and ranked among the top ten original series across all subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) platforms in the fourth quarter.”

Tulsa King Season 3 premieres on Sunday, September 21, on Paramount+.
