Stranger Things Season 5 Teaser Trailer Unites the Hawkins Crew for One Last Fight
It’s the beginning of the end for Stranger Things, and the Hawkins crew has a massive fight ahead of them.
After much anticipation, Netflix has unveiled the first teaser trailer entirely comprised of footage from the sci-fi drama’s fifth and final season. The show’s X account posted the trailer with the message, “Every battle has led to this.”
The streamer revealed a look at the season in its release date announcement last month. Stranger Things Season 5 debuts in three volumes this fall: four episodes on Wednesday, November 26, three episodes on Christmas, and the series finale on New Year’s Eve. Each volume releases at 5 p.m. PST, per Netflix’s TUDUM.

The final season picks up in the fall of 1987. “Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna,” per the season’s description. The Stranger Things teaser trailer captures just that as demogorgans come up against them throughout the two minutes.
It also reveals Dustin visiting Eddie Munson’s grave, which has been vandalized; Nancy washing blood off her hands; Hopper standing by Eleven; and Linda Hamilton (The Terminator) joining the series as Dr. Kay. The Stranger Things trailer ends with Vecna’s chilling voice saying, “Found you.”
Given that the season’s description reveals that Vecna has vanished and “his whereabouts and plans unknown,” it will be interesting to see if this moment from the trailer is Vecna finding the other characters before they can find him.
“Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread,” the season’s description continues.

“The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.”
Stranger Things Season 5 stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Jamie Campbell Bower.
The final season also stars Cara Buono, Amybeth McNulty, Nell Fisher as Holly Wheeler, Jake Connelly as Derek Turnbow, and Alex Breaux as Lt. Akers.
The series was created by the Duffer Brothers. They executive produce Stranger Things alongside Shawn Levy of 21 Laps Entertainment and Dan Cohen. Upside Down Pictures & 21 Laps Entertainment produce the show.
