NCIS: Sydney Season 2, Episode 8, “Blood Is Thicker Than Vodka,” is channeling Halloween in April with its latest case.
The photos and promo video don’t reveal much to help understand how all the moving parts are connected. The former really hones in on Dempsey and Mackey’s partnership throughout the case.
The promo video suggests that the team is wading into the occult’s waters. To fit the tone, it also shows Evie poking fun at DeShawn when they look down a dark pathway, asking him, “You scared?”

Guest star Sara Wiseman joins NCIS: Sydney as Dawn Lazar, who appears to know a thing or two about the subject matter — and modern-day vampires.
If her sharp canine teeth aren’t a big enough clue, the promo video ties together Dawn’s arrival with shots of an event at a cemetery and JD saying, “Bring your garlic and wooden stake.”
After all, the sailor discovered during “Blood Is Thicker Than Vodka” has been drained of their blood. To quote JD again: “That’s not creepy at all.”
