Ghosts Season 4 Episode 20, “I Know What You Did Thirty-Seven Summers Ago,” delves into the highly anticipated story behind the prom queen’s slaying.
Unlike Alberta, the teen mean girl didn’t have to speculate if she was murdered after being murdered by a chainsaw-wielding serial killer on the Woodstone property in 1987.
However, Stephanie wasn’t alone the night of her murder.
Tad, her prom date, insisted they stop somewhere to make out in his car while an inmate from the nearby asylum was on the loose — you know, classic 80s horror movie shenanigans!
Now, Tad is the mayor and returns to Woodstone thirty-seven years later to host a campaign event at Jay’s restaurant.
While his campaign slogan is “Tad Doesn’t Run from Problems,” it’s safe to assume he left his prom date for dead on that fateful night, and now he will have to deal with a very vengeful teen ghost.
Here’s hoping Stephanie’s payback includes some light ghostly hazing and a few killer flashbacks!

What Happened on the Previous Episode?
Previously on Ghosts, Trevor’s old finance co-worker, Pinkus, returned to Woodstone with his daughter. He revealed to Sam and Jay that Abby is actually Trevor’s daughter. In an attempt to force Pinkus to tell her, Trevor sent a text that nearly destroyed the relationship between Pinkus and Abby. It takes another hero move and a photo montage to patch the relationship between the father and daughter.
Meanwhile, Pete travelled to the Caribbean to end things with his girlfriend, Donna, after learning she had slain her husband. Instead, he offered to help prove her innocence and learned the neighbor had killed her husband and framed Donna for the murder.
