Dexter: Resurrection Premiere Date Announced by Paramount+ with Showtime
Michael C. Hall returns as Dexter Morgan on Dexter: Resurrection.
The Dexter: New Blood sequel series will debut with two episodes on Friday, July 11, on Paramount+ with Showtime before its linear debut on Sunday, July 13, at 8/7c. New episodes of Dexter: Resurrection will premiere weekly.
The new series picks up weeks after Dexter takes a bullet for his son on Dexter: New Blood Season 1 Episode 10, “Sins of the Father.” Upon waking up from a coma, Dexter learns that Harrison (Jack Alcott) has disappeared.

Dexter: Resurrection follows Dexter to New York City, having realized “the weight of what he put his son through” and “determined to find him and make things right. But closure won’t come easy,” per its description. Dexter’s past catches up to him as Miami Metro’s Angel Batista (David Zayas) questions the titular character.
“As father and son navigate their own darkness in the city that never sleeps, they soon find themselves deeper than they ever imagined – and that the only way out is together.”
The new Dexter series comes from showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips. Dexter: Resurrection is currently in production in New York.
The show’s teaser shows Hall back in the role he initially played when Dexter premiered in 2006. The first-look photos for the Paramount+ with Showtime series offer a glimpse at new and returning characters.

The series also stars Uma Thurman as Charley, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva, and Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera.
James Remar stars as Dexter’s father, Harry Morgan, and Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater. As announced throughout March, Neil Patrick Harris, Krysten Ritter, Eric Stonestreet, and David Dastmalchian are also set to guest star as Lowell, Mia, Al, and Gareth, respectively.
Michael C. Hall executive produces the show alongside Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, and Marcos Siega. SHOWTIME Studios and Counterpart Studios produce the show, while Paramount Global Content Distribution distributes it.
Monica Raymund will direct four episodes of Dexter: Resurrection, with Siega stepping behind the camera for six episodes.
