What Happened on the Previous Episode?
Previously on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, a woman visited New York City on her own to see Broadway shows. One night, after leaving a bar, she was sexually assaulted in an alley. After speaking to the team and figuring out who her rapist was, the woman decided to take matters into her own hands and lead the investigation herself.
Her confrontation with the suspect creates more chaos than help. She is challenged on the stand as the defense attorney claims it wasn’t assault but a consensual meetup that she wanted to experience before heading back home to talk to her husband about her MS diagnosis.
Eventually, the woman received the justice she deserved.
