The series was announced to be in the works in January 2025, according to Variety. FBI: CIA‘s working logline reads as follows: “A dedicated, strait-laced FBI agent and a street-smart CIA agent are part of a new, clandestine taskforce charged with solving and preventing domestic terrorism in and around New York City.”

The double cancellation also comes after CBS renewed nine of its series —  Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, Hollywood Squares, Elsbeth, Fire Country, NCIS, NCIS: Origins, and NCIS: Sydney — last month.

Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with CBS Studios, produces FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International.

FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International air on Tuesdays on CBS.
