What to Watch on TV This Week: Suits LA, Running Point, Ghosts, and More!

The week of February 23rd brings with it some much-anticipated premieres, returns, and finales. From the premiere of Suits LA and Black Ops to The Americas and Running Point there is something to excitedly tune into every day this week.

The Americas – Sunday, February 23rd

Narrated by the supremely talented, Tom Hanks, this 10-episode docuseries covers the whole of America from sea to shining sea. The Screen Actors Guild Awards – Sunday, February 23rd

Every year, the Screen Actors Guild gets together and nominates who they believe to be the best of the best in the organization that year. The nominees range from TV to Film and everywhere in between. The Screen Actors Guild Awards airs Sunday, February 23rd at 8/7c on Netflix.

Event Description: Screen Actors Guild Awards are accolades given by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. The award was founded in 1995 to recognize outstanding performances in movie and prime time television.

Suits LA – Sunday, February 23rd

Based loosely on the original series, which took place in NYC, this series follows Attorney Ted Black and partner Stuart Lane as they merge with Ted’s ex’s firm. Meanwhile, associates Rick and Erica are gunning for one of the coveted positions at the firm. Suits LA premieres Sunday, February 23rd at 9/8c on NBC.

Episode Description: Attorney Ted Black and partner Stuart Lane are about to merge with a firm run by Ted’s ex; associates Rick and Erica vie for positions in the firm, but when the merger hits a snag, Ted, a former prosecutor, must step into a role he holds in contempt.

Grosse Pointe Garden Society – Sunday, February 23rd

What happens when a no-stakes suburban garden club turns high-stakes with the murder in the neighborhood? In short, four members of that club find themselves at the center of the mystery as they strive to come out on top. Grosse Pointe Garden Society premieres Sunday, February 23rd at 10/9c on NBC.

Series Description: Follows four members of a suburban garden club, as they get caught up in murder and mischief, as they strive to flourish.

Rescue: HI-Surf – Monday, February 24th

Two teenagers go missing, putting the team on high alert. District 7’s new team member and Will get off on the wrong foot, and Em gets a visit from her mom. Rescue: HI-Surf airs Monday, February 24th at 9/8c on FOX.

Episode Description: The team searches for two missing teenagers; Will does not get along with District 7’s new team member; Em receives a surprise visit from her estranged mother.

The Hunting Party – Monday, February 24th

A hospital psychiatrist turned serial killer is on the prowl for new victims in Chicago. In order to catch him, Bex and the team must find a pattern to his behavior and stop him before he makes his next move. The Hunting Party airs Monday, February 24th at 10/9c on NBC.

Black Ops – Tuesday, February 25th

Two hapless community support police officers are thrown into the deep end of an undercover operation. Dom and Kay unexpectedly find their talents pushed to the brink in a murky world of violence and criminality. Black Ops premieres Tuesday, February 25th on Hulu.

Series Description: Dom and Kay, two hapless community support police officers are unexpectedly recruited into an off-the-books undercover operation. The inept PCSO duo are thrust into a murky world of violent underground criminality, leading to a series of chaotic situations and escapes as they naively seek to clean up their community.

St. Denis Medical – Tuesday, February 25th

Joyce finds herself in a difficult situation when a famous musician fails to show up for their performance. To make amends, she organizes a talent show amongst the St. Denis staff. St. Denis Medical airs Tuesday, February 25th at 8/7c on NBC.

Episode Description: When a famous musician’s performance at the hospital is delayed, Joyce throws an impromptu talent show with the St. Denis staff; Alex attempts to connect with her daughter, Ella.

Shoresy – Wednesday, February 26th

Our favorite Canadian hockey players are back for another season of fun and mischief. Shoresy finds himself exploring who he is outside of hockey, while the team deal with the distractions that summer brings. Shoresy Season 4 premieres Wednesday, February 26th on Hulu.

Season Description: Shoresy explores life after hockey, and the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs deal with summer distractions. 

Shifting Gears – Wednesday, February 26th

A picnic table is placed in the shared alleyway between Parker Customs and Premiere Dance Lab, creating a feud. Matt finds himself connecting more with Carter after the kid asks for more “me time.” Shifting Gears returns Wednesday, February 26th at 8/7c on ABC.

Episode Description: The feud between Parker Customs and Premiere Dance Lab heats up when Matt confronts the owner over a picnic table placed in the shared alleyway; Carter’s need for “me time” sparks a conversation with Matt.

Abbott Elementary – Wednesday, February 26th

It’s the 100th day of school and the teachers are ready to prove their kids are the best. Meanwhile, Jacob and Mr. Johnson team up to conduct a search party. Abbott Elementary returns Wednesday, February 26th at 8:30/7:30c on ABC.

Episode Description: During Abbott’s 100th day of school celebrations, Barbara receives a surprise from her daughter; Jacob and Mr. Johnson join forces to conduct a search party.

Running Point – Thursday, February 27th

Kate Hudson stars as a reformed party girl who must prove she has the business acumen to take over the family business. She finds herself in charge of her family’s pro basketball team, but handles each new bump in the road with grace. Running Point premieres Thursday, February 27th on Netflix.

Ghosts – Thursday, February 27th

Isaac and his insane storytelling is back, this time with a tale of woe about his rivalry with Alexander Hamilton. Meanwhile, Elias Woodstone returns from hell with an offer for the ghosts. Ghosts airs Thursday, February 27th at 8:30/7:30c on CBS.

Episode Description: When Jay becomes obsessed with the success of a fellow chef, Isaac serves up a cautionary tale about his own rivalry with Alexander Hamilton; Elias Woodstone returns from hell with a limited-time offer for the ghosts.

Animal Control – Thursday, February 27th

Fiona decides to end things with both Frank and Victoria, leading to them throwing a rager in retaliation. Meanwhile, Patel’s vision for a quiet night with Shred and Parker doesn’t go as planned. Animal Control airs Thursday, February 27th at 9/8c on FOX.

NCIS: Sydney – Friday, February 28th

I Am Luke Perry – Saturday, March 1st

When Luke Perry died unexpectedly in 2019, the world mourned his loss. Now, with this new feature-length documentary, fans can follow his life from humble roots in a small-town to the heartthrob he became known as. I Am Luke Perry premieres Saturday, March 1st at 8/7c on The CW.
