DeShawn and Evie go undercover to investigate the death of a former U.S. Navy officer on NCIS: Sydney Season 2 Episode 2, “Fire in the Hole.”

A young girl finds the body in the harbor, which leads the NCIS and AFP duo to the 18th-century sailing ship. Two components complicate DeShawn and Evie’s investigation — a pirate-themed wedding and a bomb on the ship.

The NCIS: Sydney Season 2 trailer shows more of what to expect during “Fire in the Hole,” like DeShawn jumping overboard to help Evie, who can’t swim.

The episode’s specific photos don’t reveal much — other than the detail-oriented costumes DeShawn and Evie will wear for at least some of the NCIS: Sydney outing. On the other hand, the promo video shows DeShawn leaning on NCIS Special Agent Captain Michelle Mackey for advice.

After all, he and Evie must get all the people off the ship as safely as possible.

Elsewhere, Mackey and JD work a case together that could prevent a potential tragedy on the harbor. Because this is NCIS: Sydney, it’s not entirely shocking that said tragedy could cause irreparable damage to the U.S.-Australia alliance.

Plus, the show still has its serialized arc of waiting for Rankin to come out of his coma and reveal Neimus’s benefactor. The NCIS: Sydney team definitely has a full plate when “Fire in the Hole” airs on Friday, February 14, on CBS.

When a young girl finds the body of a former U.S. Navy officer floating in the harbor, the team is led to an 18th-century sailing ship hosting a pirate-themed wedding, where DeShawn and Evie go undercover to investigate. Meanwhile, Mackey and JD are pulled in to prevent a potential tragedy on the harbor that could rip the U.S.-Australia alliance apart.
