Sarah is on the warpath on Matlock Season 1 Episode 11, “A Traitor in Thine Own House.”
On Matlock Season 1 Episode 10, “Test Helmet On,” Matty and Sarah came so close to bonding. Sarah opened up about her grandmother’s struggle with dementia, and Matty saw a new side of Sarah.
Seeing a more compassionate side of Sarah even led Matty to make Sarah first chair on a case, a major professional opportunity.
Unfortunately, when Billy catches Matty looking for the microphone pen she had planted in Julian’s office, she panics. Scrambling to explain what she was doing, Matty tells Billy he will be the first chair for the case, despite already telling Sarah she will be.
To say that Sarah does not take the broken promise well is an understatement. Any progress they made in their relationship earlier on the episode, or the season, for that matter, is gone. Sarah tells Matty in no uncertain terms that she will regret betraying her.
On “A Traitor in Thine Own House,” it looks like she’s right. Making an enemy of Sarah might be Matty’s biggest mistake. Not only does she have a very determined Sarah gunning for revenge, but Shea is back and teaming up with Sarah to look into Matty.
Sarah does not seem like the forgiving type, but Matty had better figure out something to placate her if she hopes to keep her mission on track.
