When Does ‘Ghosts’ Season 4 Return From Hiatus?

New episodes of CBS’ hit paranormal comedy Ghosts can’t arrive soon enough, with Season 4 set to return from its holiday hiatus this month.

That’s right, Ghosts returns with new episodes on January 30th at 8:30/7:30c on CBS.

Episode 10’s premiere will mark the sitcom’s mid-season mark as it sets its sights on finally opening Jay’s restaurant and pleasing the not-so-silent investor calling the shots from beyond the veil.

The first of many upcoming episodes to look forward to, Ghosts Season 4 Episode 10, “The Not-So-Silent Partner,” promises juicy workplace drama when Woodstone’s contractor, Mark, becomes fed up with the delays to construction and demands to meet the restaurant’s silent investor.

According to the episode synopsis released by CBS, Jay and Sam are “forced to cover” the fact that their investor is a ghost Captain who lives on the property and only has money because he got a sizable chunk of Sam’s book advancement.

To keep Isaac’s identity a secret from their longtime contractor, Jay hires a familiar con woman to play their investor.

Mythic Quests’ Jessie Ennis reprises her role as Kelsey, a woman who was paid to hoodwink Sam out of her inheritance in Season 2 by pretending to be her cousin.

Speaking of complicated workplace dynamics, when the season returns, Sam will be forced to run the B&B side of the business alone while Jay is busy with the restaurant.

But she’s never really alone with the ghosts. Creators Joe Port and Joe Wiseman confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con that Hetty will assist Sam in Jay’s absence: “Hetty is going to step up and be this great businesswoman that she didn’t get to be in life because she took a backseat to Elias. She can now bring that to helping Sam run the B&B.”

In a recent interview with us, Rebecca Wisocky, who plays Hetty Woodstone, also teased the arrival of her character’s much-anticipated power. “We will learn Hetty’s ghost power this season,” she confirmed.

Rose McIver told TVLine, “It is one of the more impressive ghost powers. If there were tiers, it’s top tier.” Utkarsh Ambudkar added that it’s a “wild” power.

Additionally, this back half of Season 4 will feature McIver’s TV directing debut with a Pete-centric episode.
