Preview — The Rookie Season 7 Episode 4: The Team Works to Track Down a Serial Killer
Wesley’s past connects him to the team’s case on The Rookie Season 7 Episode 4, “Darkness Falling.”
This episode brings the characters together on a case where “a serial killer is at large,” according to Nyla. The seriousness of that threat raises concerns about how Wesley’s past comes back around to connect him to the team’s investigation.
“Darkness Falling” will follow Wesley back to the district attorney’s office, where he will reunite with Michael Trucco’s Sean Del Monte. The last time Sean appeared on the show was on The Rookie Season 6 Episode 6, “Secrets and Lies.” Could he know something about Wesley that connects to the larger arc?
Then again, The Rookie newcomer Necar Zadegan could play someone from Wesley’s past. It’s hard to decipher anything about Zadegan’s character from the photos, and the promo video keeps everything about this story under wraps.
Instead, it focuses more on the team splitting up to learn as much as possible and find the serial killer. The promotional material shows Tim & Miles and Lucy & Seth in what could be the suspect’s home. Could something happen there to cause Lucy to become suspicious of Seth?
Meanwhile, Angela and Nyla’s partnership leads them to what used to be a sanatorium. “Darkness Falling won’t stop there, either. In the promo video, Angela says, “He’s gonna pull a Ted Bundy,” as she and Nyla race to sorority row.
Plus, The Rookie will continue its arc with John and Bailey, as Jason at large threatens Bailey’s safety. So, for now, the promo video for “Darkness Falling” teases that Bailey is staying at Lucy’s place now that she’s back in Los Angeles.
