The Agency will return for a second season!

After becoming the most streamed new series in Showtime history, Showtime/MTV Studios renewed the freshman drama for Season 2. The Agency broke records by delivering 5.1M global cross-platform viewers.

The renewal comes after the show’s two-episode debut on Friday, November 29.

The Agency offers a new take on the acclaimed French drama Le Bureau des Legendes. Michael Fassbender stars as Martian, “a covert CIA agent, ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London Station.”

“When the love he left behind reappears, romance reignites. His career, his real identity and his mission are pitted against his heart; hurling them both into a deadly game of international intrigue and espionage,” per its synopsis. 

The Agency also stars Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, Richard Gere, Katherine Waterston, John Magaro, Alex Reznik, Andrew Brooke, Harriet Sansom Harris, India Fowler, Saura Lightfoot-Leon, and Reza Brojerdi.

Dominic West and Hugh Bonneville guest star, while Adam Nagaitis, Ambreen Razia, Bilal Hasna, David Harewood, Kurt Egyiawan, Ray BLK, Sabrina Wu, and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor recur on the global espionage thriller.

Jez and John-Henry Butterworth are writers and executive producers on The Agency. Executive producer Joe Wright directed The Agency Season 1 Episode 1, “The Bends,” and The Agency Season 1 Episode 2, “Wooden Duck.”
