Matty is back on team “YouThree” for the Matlock fall finale, Matlock Season 1 Episode 8, “No, No Monsters.” 

On Matlock Season 1 Episode 7, “Belly of the Beast,” Matty got her chance to work on a pharmaceutical case. The case almost ended in disaster when Senior removed Matty and Julian from representing the drug company Wellbrexa.

Matty salvaged the situation and ultimately won the case for the firm. However, she could only do it by doing something she found morally objectionable.

It’s hard to imagine incidences like this where Matty compromises her integrity or, as happened earlier in the season, where she lost sight of what was best for her grandson, won’t have consequences down the line. 

At the moment, though, Matty seems happy with her decision because she didn’t just win points with the pharmaceutical team by winning the case for them. Her proximity to Senior also gave her what she needed to gain access to his email.

On “No, No Monsters,” Matty is back on a case for Olympia with Sarah and Billy, but the events of “Belly of the Beast’ loom large as Matty’s access to Senior’s email results in at least one big bombshell.

The episode promo reveals that Senior couldn’t have signed for the documents that were buried to protect Welbrexa. That means somebody forged his signature, and now Matty’s task is to figure out who.

If they are willing to reveal something that big in the promo, we have to wonder what they are saving for the episode, especially considering it is the fall finale. 

And all that is before we even get to the fallout from Billy’s failed proposal or Julian’s confession that he had an affair before he and Olympia split up.

Do you think Olympia will forgive Julian? Who do you think forged Senior’s signature? What sort of cliffhanger is the episode going to leave us with while we wait for the series’ January return?
