Preview — Dexter: Original Sin Season 1 Episode 2: Kid in a Candy Store
Welcome to Miami Metro, where dark fantasies come true.
In the Dexter: Original Sin Season 1 Episode 2 trailer, our baby-faced psychopath is settling into his new gig at the Miami Metro precinct, which is like watching the fox guard the henhouse.
There’s a new detective in town, and she’s got our serial killer’s Spidey senses tingling. Maria LaGuerta (Christina Milian) struts into Miami Metro like she owns the place, but our boy’s not buying her act for a second. “Keep an eye on the new detective,” a faceless voice warns. “I don’t trust her.”

We’re treated to a chilling scene of a little boy screaming in terror, followed by an ominous threat: “If you do not release him, you will pay the ultimate price.” It’s the kind of case that would give most cops nightmares. For Dexter? It’s Christmas morning.
Meanwhile, Deb Morgan pretends to be living her best life, tearing up dance floors and joyriding in convertibles. But Deb laments, “My dad and my brother, they don’t even know I exist,” indicating a disassociation from her family.
At the end of the trailer, Dexter embraces his true nature and has an epiphany that will send a chill down your spine: “This is who I am, who I need to be.”
If Dexter: Original Sin Season 1 Episode 2, “Kid in a Candy Store”, is anything like what we saw in Dexter: Original Sin Season 1 Episode 1: The Beginnings of a Serial Killer, it will be a bloody good time!
