
Creature Commandos Renewed for Season 2 at Max
The Creature Commandos are coming back for more!
The Max Original adult animated series from DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation has been renewed for a sophomore season.
Creature Commandos, written and executive produced by DC Studios Co-Chair James Gunn, marks the first series under the new DC Universe.

The show’s renewal comes ahead of its fifth episode, which is set to stream on Max on Thursday, December 26. Creature Commandos‘s seven-episode debut season will conclude with the season finale on Thursday, January 9.
The series follows “a secret team of incarcerated monsters recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans. When all else fails… they’re your last, worst option.” Creature Commandos Season 1 Episodes 1 and 2, “The Collywobbles / The Tourmaline Necklace,” debuted on Thursday, December 5, on Max.
“We’re thrilled to team up with Max for another season of Creature Commandos mayhem,” Gunn and Peter Safran, Co-Chairs, DC Studios, shared in a statement.
“From our spectacular first season of Peacemaker to the astonishing run of The Penguin to the record-breaking launch of Creature Commandos, Max has consistently delivered above industry expectations and beyond our wildest imaginings,” the duo continued.

“Thank you, Casey, Sarah, Pia, Sono, and the entire team for your tremendous support of DC Studios. We are proud to call Max home,” Gunn and Safran concluded. Gunn also shared the renewal news on X with a “Happy Holidays!” message from Weasel.

Creature Commandos Season 1 stars Steve Agee as Economos, Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana, Anya Chalotra as Circe, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Sean Gunn as GI Robot & Weasel, David Harbour as Frankenstein, Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus, and Indira Varma as The Bride.
Viola Davis reprises her role from DC’s Suicide Squad films as Amanda Waller.
The series is based on DC characters. Creature Commandos‘s executive producers include Peter Safran, Dean Lorey, and Sam Register. Rick Morales serves as a supervising producer.
