Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Trailer Teases A Space Adventure Inspired By The Goonies
As the season turns over a new leaf, Star Wars is returning to Disney+ with its latest series, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew!
Unlike previous Star Wars shows, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew stands on its own. This show gives fans a new story disconnected from the Skywalker Saga. The eight-episode series will have a two-episode premiere on Tuesday, December 3, on Disney+.

The upcoming Star Wars series will “follow the journey of four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy.”
“Finding their way home—and meeting unlikely allies and enemies—will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined,” per Star Wars: Skeleton Crew‘s synopsis.
Furthermore, additional details about Jude Law’s character, Jod, were revealed. On the show, Jod is a “mysterious character whose true motives are shrouded in mystery.” However, per Variety, Jod is teased to be a Jedi, or at least a Force user.
The trailer shows the series’ titular crew gathering as they set off on a dangerous journey throughout the galaxy. It sees them traversing through underground markets, confronting pirate gangs, and facing monsters unknown. With these problems, their journey home will be much more difficult than expected!

In addition to the trailer, Disney+ unveiled a new poster. The key art features Jude Law and the young travelers with SM-33’s head looming in the background.
The series stars Jude Law, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, Tunde Adebimpe, Kerry Condon and Nick Frost.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew‘s episodic directors include Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s Jon Watts, David Lowery, Everything Everywhere All at Once‘s The Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), Jake Schreier, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Lee Isaac Chung.
Watts and Ford are the head writers. They serve as executive producers along with Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. Chris Buongiorno, Karen Gilchrist, and Carrie Beck are co-executive producers, and Susan McNamara and John Bartnicki are producers.
