Andor Season 2 Sets Release Date and Teases Rebel Alliance’s Uprising at D23 Brazil
There’s only one way up and out for this hero of the Rebel Alliance. At D23 Brazil, Lucasfilm heavily featured the Emmy-nominated Star Wars series, Andor. During the segment, a special look was teased by the cute droid B2 EMO.
The upcoming character-centric series will consist of 12 episodes, with every three episodes presented as a year in Cassian Andor’s life. However, how each batch of episodes will play out remains a mystery.

Given that Andor Season 1 Episode 12, “Rix Road,” ended with him joining the Rebellion with Luthen, it’s likely that events could play out in an anthological manner. However, there will still be an overarching narrative that connects all these episodes together.
In addition, fan-favorite characters from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story are set to appear. Fans can expect Ben Mendelsohn and Alan Tudyk to reprise their respective roles as Orson Krennic and K-2SO, according to The Playlist.
Headlining star Diego Luna had teased such appearances at the D23 Expo in August. “This second part will follow Cassian over the period of four years, where he grows into the leader we see in [Rogue One: A Star Wars Story],” he said.

“In this season, the stakes are greater, the enemies more organized and the clock is ticking.”
These episodes “carry the story of Cassian Andor and the emerging rebel alliance over the climactic four years that lead to the discovery of The Death Star and the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” Andor Season 1 followed Cassian’s reluctant journey from cynical nobody to revolutionary volunteer.
Andor Season 2 will see him “transform from soldier to leader to hero on the way to his epic destiny.
From the very first scene, Cassian’s story has activated an ever-widening ensemble of allies and enemies. Season 2 will see these relationships intensify as the horizon of galactic war draws near. Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound.”

Andor Season 2 also sees the returns of Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O’Reilly, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Faye Marsay, and Varada Sethu.
Tony Gilroy serves as series creator and showrunner. In addition, Ariel Kleiman, Janus Metz, and Alonso Ruizpalacios will be directing with Gilroy, Dan Gilroy, Beau Willimon, and Tom Bissell writing.
Andor Season 2 premieres on Disney+ on April 22, 2025.
