Matty dusts off her trial skills when Olympia tasks her with arguing a case on Matlock Season 1 Episode 3, “A Guy Named Greg.”

In the short time Matty has been a part of Olympia’s team, she has proven to be a valuable behind-the-scenes asset multiple times. Whether it’s connecting with witnesses or connecting facts that others miss, Matty is already the team’s secret weapon. Whether Olympia would publicly admit it or not.

But, this week, Olympia thrusts Matty into the spotlight when she has Matty join her in court to argue their newest case involving a claim of sexual harassment. 

Hopefully, arguing in court is like riding a bike since one of the few genuine things Matty has told Olympia is that it’s been years since she practiced law, let alone appeared in court. 

Making a mistake behind the scenes is one thing, but blowing a case publically in front of a client and judge is a sure way to destroy any progress Matty has made toward gaining Olympia’s trust.

But maybe an even more significant threat to Matty’s undercover mission is the introduction of the firm’s jury consultant, Shea, played by Yael Grobglas. Shea’s job is to read people, and she quickly reads something as off with Matty, putting Matty’s cover at risk.
