Industry Receives Early Season 4 Renewal by HBO
HBO is saying yes to more of the lives and indiscretions of Pierpoint & Co.’s young, up-and-coming bankers.
The prestige network has renewed Industry for a fourth season ahead of its Season 3 finale on Sunday, September 29.
The news comes on the heels of growth in viewership season over season. According to Warner Bros. Discovery, Industry Season 3 is currently tracking 40% ahead of Season 2, with an average of 1.6 million viewers tuning in weekly.
“We are beyond thrilled and grateful to HBO, the incredible team at Bad Wolf, and our phenomenal cast and crew for their continued belief in Industry,” creators, writers, and executive producers Mickey Down and Konrad Kay said in a joint statement.
“We can’t wait to dive deeper and deliver the best season yet in Season 4,” Down and Kay added.
Industry follows a group of young bankers at a finance firm in London.
But the moment the group sets foot on the floor of Pierpoint & Co., they are all brought into a world filled with high stakes for clients, equally high ambitions, and plenty of sex and drugs to fuel the competition in the high-pressure environment.
“It has been an extraordinary journey over the past 8 years from initial development to now the commission of a fourth season of Industry,” Jane Tranter, executive producer and Founder of production house Bad Wolf, said about the renewal.
“This commitment to nurturing new talent and investment in quality programming has resulted in a show we are all exceptionally proud of,” Tranter continued.
Industry‘s third season saw Kit Harrington join the series as Sir Henry Muck, head of a green tech company, Lumi, as Yasmin, Robert, and Eric assist with the IPO.
The series stars Myha’la, Marisa Abela, Harry Lawtey, Ken Leung, Cono MacNeill, Sagar Radia, Sarah Goldberg, Miriam Petche, Indy Lewis, Adam Levy, Sarah Parish, Trevor White, Elena Saurel, Irfan Shamji, Andrew Havill, Roger Barclay, Fady Elsayed, and Fiona Button.
