This new series brings Ackles back to the show’s universe after an appearance on The Boys‘ Season 4 finale. Variety reports that Ackles will appear as Soldier Boy, who debuted in Season 3, throughout the show’s fifth and final season

Meanwhile, Cash hasn’t appeared as Stormfront since The Boys Season 2, when her character debuts, is revealed to have Nazi ties, and eventually is killed.

Executive producer Eric Kripke and series showrunner and executive producer Paul Grellong shared a bit of what fans can expect from Vought Rising. “We are excited to bring you the next deranged series from the world of The Boys,” they shared.

“It’s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought,” Kripke and Grellong added.
