The Conners Season 6 Episode 10 Exclusive Sneak Peek Clip: Dan Takes Up Writing

One of Dan’s union buddies has reached out to him asking for a write-up about the life of a small-town hardware store. The only problem is that Dan isn’t a writer.

Tensions erupt between Ben and Dan on The Conners Season 6 Episode 10, “Campaign U-Turn and a Hard Write.” It makes sense that during this episode, which airs at 9:30/8:30c on ABC, Ben, who’s a published writer, would get upset that Dan assumes writing is as simple as picking up a pencil.

In the exclusive sneak peek below, Dan makes light of writing, saying, “There’s no reason it can’t be my thing too. How hard is it? It’s like talking, just with a pencil.” It shows Dan’s typical can-do attitude about life; if you can do it, so can I.

Ben seems to be taken aback that Dan is even considering the offer or that the older man would think that he can write too. In fact, Ben’s closing remark of, “I look forward to reading your pencil talking,” shows how much he resents Dan and this opportunity.

These two have had a great working relationship for the last few years. As evidenced by their joint partnership at the hardware store. 

More often than not, Ben is willing to encourage Dan with each new opportunity that comes his way. But this time it’s clear Ben won’t take too kindly to whatever Dan does end up writing.

As the season comes to a close, we hope this hiccup won’t cause bigger issues down the road for their business. After all, Ben is known to stew in resentment on occasion. 

Episode Description for The Conners Season 6 Episode 10: Dan gets asked to write an article for a Hardware magazine, making Ben long for his days as a writer. Meanwhile, Jackie inserts herself into Louise’s run for the school board when her retirement leads to too much free time.
