Preview — Abbott Elementary Season 3 Episode 13: It’s Time for the Yearly School Field Trip

Abbott Elementary Season 3 Episode 13, “Smith Playground,” plays out Jacob’s triumphant mission to save the yearly school-wide field trip from being canceled.

With enough slots for the Smith Playground secured, the Abbott staff load up their buses and head to the park with their students for a day of play.

However, their fun and games turn competitive when the school is forced to share the playground.

Abbott Elementary’s end-of-the-year field trip never disappoints.

It’s a chance for the show to explore a new exterior setting with their students. However, it’s also an opportunity for staff to get their deepest, darkest secrets of the season off their chest in a casual setting.

Season 1’s trip to the zoo witness Janine end her long-term relationship with Tariq. Meanwhile, Season 2’s trip to the museum forced Janine and Gregory to confront their feelings for each other but ultimately saw Janine pass on a relationship.

Could this trip to the playground be the catalyst for Gregory to come clean to Janine about his desire to finally seal the deal and make their romance relationship official?

While they continue their insufferable game of “will-they-won’t-they,” Mr. Johnson enjoys having the school all to himself for the day.
