Preview — Ghosts Season 3 Episode 4: Halloween 3: The Guest Who Wouldn’t Leave
A Halloween episode in March? What a treat!
But beware, for Ghosts Season 3 Episode 4, “Halloween 3: The Guest Who Wouldn’t Leave,” could be the most ambitious episode of the entire series.
Sam and Jay seek redemption for last year’s lame Halloween party, inviting their cool friends from the city in hopes of impressing them. However, plans start to go off the rails when Carol, Pete’s ex-wife, is accidentally invited to join the festivities.
This episode’s promo features Carol looking very dead in the kitchen and Pete screaming, “Carol’s a ghost!” Cue the gasps.
If Carol is, in fact, a spirit, this is a big swing for Ghosts.
Not only would Carol interact with Pete and the other ghosts, but this marks a dark turn for the comedy. It’s one thing to break the cardinal rule of sitcoms before the pilot; it’s worse to kill Carol off in the middle of an episode. The ghost lore is escalating!
Amongst the chaos, Thorfinn desperately tries to complete the seance before midnight so he can reunite with Flower.
However, when various roadblocks hinder Sam and the ghosts from reuniting with their favorite hippy, the group grows increasingly desperate to find a way to bring her back.
During this year’s Halloween festivities, expect tricks and treats from Ghosts as it tests the limitations of a sitcom episode.

Episode Description: Pete’s ex-wife, Carol (Caroline Aaron), shows up at Woodstone Mansion during Sam and Jay’s Halloween party, where they’re trying to impress some cool friends (John Reynolds and Christine Ko). Also, the ghosts hope to bring Flower back with a seance.

I’m excited to see what this episode brings—this show is so creative. Of course, my actual hopes for any episode include more of Hetty and Trevor. I hope they get back together soon.
