Preview — The Rookie Season 6 Episode 1: Strike Back

The team tries to uncover the truth behind last season’s attacks on The Rookie Season 6 Episode 1, “Strike Back.”

Together, they will work to discover if there is a bigger plan at play after members of the LAPD’s Mid-Wilshire Division were targeted on The Rookie Season 5 Episode 22, “Under Siege.”

While The Rookie‘s trailer leaves more questions than answers about the timeline, the photos appear to tease that there will be a time jump between the Season 5 finale and the Season 6 premiere, which airs on Tuesday, February 20, on ABC. 

The photos of Angela, Wesley, their newborn baby girl, and Celina in the hospital suggest that “Strike Back” may briefly pick up where “Under Siege” leaves off or flashback to the events of the finale.

Most of The Rookie‘s Season 6 premiere sees the team reunited at Mid-Wilshire, including Tim Bradford, who is surprisingly out of his Metro gear for this episode. It could even feature a team-up between Nyla, Wade, and Tim. There’s also a teaser of at least one scene with Tim and Lucy, aka Chenford, and Wesley.

“Strike Back” will also be Nolan’s final shift before his wedding, which Nyla reminds him about in the trailer and could explain why Marc Evan Jackson appears on Bailey and Nolan’s doorstep holding champagne.

Episode description: In the aftermath of the assaults in the explosive season five finale, the team must now try to understand why they were targeted and if there is a bigger plan in place. Meanwhile, Nolan must survive his last shift before his wedding to Bailey.
