The work of a serial killer is exposed when Stabler finds the body of his old friend, Rita Lasku. On Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 Episode 6, “Beyond the Sea,” the investigation of these murders gets underway.
Stabler, who is still on suspension with the NYPD, sticks close to Long Island to assist with the serial killer investigation. In order to do so, he must navigate some muddy political waters and risk uncovering some major secrets.

Meanwhile, the team is concerned for Stabler when he doesn’t show up for his appointment with IAB. They understand his desire to see this case through, but not at the expense of his actual career.
Jet goes the extra mile to ensure a witness is protected when things heat up. With Bell still in the hospital, her actions come under the scrutiny of their interim director.
