The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin Sets March Premiere Date on Apple TV+
The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin is coming to Apple TV+ in March.
The new comedy-adventure series stars The Great British Bake Off‘s co-host Noel Fielding in the titular role of the legendary British highwayman.
The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin debuts with a two-episode premiere on Friday, March 1, on Apple TV+. New episodes of the six-episode season will stream every Friday through the season finale on March 29.

Ben Palmer, known for the BAFTA TV Award and Rose d’Or Award-winning The Inbetweeners, directed the comedy adventure’s first three episodes. George Kane, known for BAFTA TV Award-nominated Timewasters, directed the other three episodes.
Dick Turpin is “on a journey of wildly absurd escapades when he’s made the reluctant leader of a band of outlaws — and tasked with outwitting corrupt lawman and self-appointed thief-taker Jonathan Wilde,” per the show’s synopsis. Downton Abbey‘s Hugh Bonneville stars as Jonathan Wilde.
Created by Claire Downes, Ian Jarvis, and Stuart Lane, and written by Jon Brittain, Richard Naylor, Claire Downes, Ian Jarvis, and Stuart Lane, with Noel Fielding, The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin is described as an “irreverent retelling set in the 18th century.”
“The most famous but least likely of highway robbers,” Turpin’s “success is defined mostly by his charm, showmanship, and great hair. Together with his gang of lovable rogues, Turpin rides the highs and lows of his new endeavors, including a brush with celebrity, all whilst trying to escape the clutches of the thief-taker.”

The series stars Fielding, Bonneville, Ellie White (The Windsors), Marc Wootton (High & Dry), Duayne Boachie (Blue Story), Tamsin Greig (Episodes), Asim Chaudhry (The Sandman), Dolly Wells (The Outlaws), and Joe Wilkinson (Sex Education).
The ensemble also includes Mark Heap (Friday Night Dinner), Geoff McGivern (Free Rein), Michael Fielding (The Mighty Boosh), Samuel Leakey (Gretel & Hansel), and Kiri Flaherty.
Apple TV+ and Big Talk Studios, part of ITV Studios, produce The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin.
Kenton Allen, Big Talk Studios, Noel Fielding, Victoria Grew, Big Talk Studios, and Ben Palmer executive produce the series.
