The season finale’s investigation hits too close to home for JD on NCIS: Sydney Season 1 Episode 8, “Blonde Ambition.”
An international assassin, presumably disguising himself as a clown, kidnaps JD’s son at his ninth birthday party. To make matters worse, the kidnapper has JD’s son pose for a desperate plea to his father over video.

The international assassin who takes JD’s son plans to exchange the young boy for the wanted criminal. However, the NCIS team also has a plan — “Whatever it takes to get him back,” Mackey tells JD in the promo video.
So, the team must work together alongside Richard Rankin, seen in a photo below, and their season-long antagonist. If that’s not a recipe for an emotional, high-stress NCIS: Sydney season finale, what is?
