While the 2005 film of the same name follows an already married couple who learn that they are both assassins, Prime Video’s offering is about two spies who go undercover as a married couple and carry out assignments together.
While there is some action and suspense as John and Jane go on a variety of different missions, the show is primarily about their romance. Will these two strangers find true love, or will their high-pressure job come between them?

The catch: new identities in an arranged marriage as Mr. & Mrs. John and Jane Smith. Now hitched, John and Jane navigate a high risk mission every week while also facing a new relationship milestone. Their complex cover story becomes even more complicated when they catch real feelings for each other. What’s riskier, espionage or marriage?
