AI makes a splash with Shaw and Riley’s latest case investigating the murder of a prominent tech mogul. Law & OrderSeason 23 Episode 2, “Human Innovation,” stretches the boundaries of what is real and made up.
When Shaw and Riley discover what they believe to be the perfect piece of evidence, a deeper dig at the footage has them questioning whether or not it’s real. Does the victim, an AI genius, have the technology to assist his killer in getting away with the crime?

As the case finally makes its way to the courtroom, Price and Maroun have their work cut out for them. When the evidence is questionable, can they, in good conscience, bring it before a jury?
McCoy tries his best to guide them, but even he doesn’t quite know the precedence to take in this situation. AI might actually be ahead of the law, thwarting the victim’s family from gaining any semblance of justice for their loved one’s murder.
With the influence of AI on the world at large only gaining momentum, this case could be one to look out for.
