The comedy series from Zach Woods, Brandon Gardner, and Mike Judge stars Woods as Lauren Caspian — public radio’s 3rd most popular host. In the Know‘s voiceover cast also includes Mike Judge as Sandy, Caitlin Reilly as Fabian, Charlie Bushnell as Chase, J. Smith-Cameron as Barb, and Carl Tart as Carl.

Fabian is the radio program’s researcher and fact checker, Chase is In the Know‘s college intern, Barb is its co-executive producer, Carl is the sound engineer, and Sandy is its culture critic.

In the nearly two-minute trailer, Fabian alerts Barb and Lauren that people on Twitter use a hashtag (#InTheKnowMakesMeBlow) to express how Lauren’s voice makes them sick. Nevertheless, Lauren goes on to interview Mike Tyson, as well as Teagan and Sara.

In the Know‘s other live-action interviewees include Kaia Gerber, Jonathan Van Ness, Ken Burns, Finn Wolfhard, Norah Jones, Nicole Byer, Roxane Gay, Jorge Masvidal, and Hugh Laurie.

In the Know‘s official synopsis reads as follows:

Lauren Caspian is NPR’s third most popular host. He’s a well-meaning, hypocritical nimrod, just like you and me. He’s also a stop motion puppet. Each episode follows the making of an episode of Lauren’s show In the Know, in which Lauren conducts in-depth interviews with real world human guests. Lauren collaborates with a diverse crew of NPR staff. They are also puppets and nimrods.

Zach Woods and Brandon Gardner are showrunners and executive producers on the show. Mike Judge, Greg Daniels, and Dustin Davis executive produce for Bandera Entertainment. Alexander Bulkley and Corey Campodonico executive produce for Shadowmachine.
