Star Trek: Prodigy Moves to Netflix, Season 2 to Premiere in 2024
Star Trek: Prodigy has found a new horizon on Netflix!
Paramount+ canceled the animated children’s show amid its Season 2 production in June 2023.
Netflix confirmed that Star Trek: Prodigy‘s first season will debut on the streaming service later this year, with Season 4 slated to premiere in 2024.

Co-executive producer Aaron J. Waltke shared a statement on X.
“The possibilities are endless now that the world can see all 40 episodes of Prodigy‘s first and second seasons in one place — which our passionate cast and crew have worked so tirelessly on — with the potential for more as we boldly go and seek out this new horizon,” Waltke wrote.
Star Trek: Prodigy debuted in 2021 and introduced a younger generation to the Star Trek franchise. Heather Kadin, Aaron Baiers, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth are among the show’s executive producers. The series was canceled with Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, The Game, and Queen of the Universe.
Upon the news about the show getting a second chance on a new streaming service, #SAVEDStarTrekProdigy trended on X.

“The team is still hard at work on the second season, and we can’t wait to share it with the amazing fans around the world,” the trio added.
Star Trek: Prodigy‘s voice cast includes Kate Mulgrew, Brett Gray, Ella Purnell, Rylee Alazraqui, Angus Imrie, Jason Mantzoukas, Dee Bradley Baker, John Noble, and Jimmi Simpson. Daveed Diggs, Jameela Jamil, Jason Alexander, Robert Beltran, and Billy Campbell recur.
