Squid Game: The Challenge Trailer Released by Netflix
Squid Game: The Challenge‘s trailer transforms Squid Game into a competition series on Netflix.
The 10-episode debut season will bring 456 real players into the game for the chance to win $4.56 million, beginning on Thursday, November 22, on Netflix.
New episodes of Squid Game: The Challenge will stream weekly through December 6.

As one of the players says in the trailer, “This is a savage game.”
“As they compete through a series of games inspired by the original show – plus surprising new additions – their strategies, alliances, and character will be put to the test while competitors are eliminated around them,” per Squid Game: The Challenge‘s official synopsis.
The trailer gives Squid Game fans a glimpse at what this reality show will entail, including double-crosses, trust tests, and players having to choose other players — friends and enemies — to eliminate. As a contestant says, “This game has to be played with strategy.”
Netflix greenlit Squid Game: The Challenge and renewed Squid Game for a sophomore season in June 2022.

As reported then, the streaming service cites Squid Game as holding “the record as Netflix’s most popular series of all time, with over 1.65 billion view hours in the first 28 days after its September 2021 premiere.”
“Squid Game took the world by storm with Director Hwang’s captivating story and iconic imagery. We’re grateful for his support as we turn the fictional world into reality in this massive competition and social experiment,” Brandon Riegg, Netflix VP of Unscripted and Documentary Series, said.
“Fans of the drama series are in for a fascinating and unpredictable journey as our 456 real world contestants navigate the biggest competition series ever, full of tension and twists, with the biggest ever cash prize at the end,” Riegg added.
Nicola Brown (The Garden), Tim Harcourt (Studio Lambert), John Hay (The Garden), Toni Ireland (Studio Lambert), Anna Kidd, Stephen Lambert (Studio Lambert), Louise Peet, Nia Yemoh (Studio Lambert), and Stephen Yemoh (Studio Lambert) executive produce the reality series from Studio Lambert & The Garden.
