New ‘Suits’ Offshoot Series in the Works at NBCUniversal
How about a Suits Universe?
Deadline exclusively reports that a new Suits offshoot series is in early development from series creator Aaron Korsh at NBCUniversal.
That same report claims this new series “is not a revival or reboot and, unlike the 2019 Pearson, the new legal procedural is not a spinoff either — it would be a Suits universe series in the vein of the CSI and NCIS franchises featuring new characters in a new location.”

Along with claims that the new show would air on an NBCU-owned platform, The Hollywood Reporter‘s sources shared that “Los Angeles is the most likely setting for the project.”
Suits and its spinoff series Pearson, starring Gina Torres as Jessica Pearson in the Windy City, aired on USA. The latter started streaming on Peacock in August 2023, on the heels of the former finding streaming success on Netflix in June 2023.
The USA drama held the #1 spot on Nielsen’s overall U.S. ranking of streaming series/movies for 12 consecutive weeks, eclipsing the record of the 11 non-consecutive times previously held by Netflix’s drama Ozark.
TV Line reports that Netflix’s Virgin River now holds that #1 spot on Nielsen’s overall streaming chart, including movies, acquired series, etc.

In response to Deadline’s report about those record-breaking numbers, Korsch wrote, “I always thought we were underestimated, but it turns out, even I underestimated #Suits. It’s good to be the King,” on X (formerly Twitter).
These reports come after Korsh said he’d consider a Suits revival “if someone reached out and the cast was into it,” but only “if I could come up with something that excited me. But if I could wave a magic wand and get another show on the air, it wouldn’t be a continuation of Suits,” per The Hollywood Reporter in August.
Suits, which premiered in 2011 and aired for nine seasons, follows big-time Manhattan corporate lawyer Harvey Specter and his team as they are launched into a play for power when a new partner, Mike Ross, joins the firm.
The legal drama starred Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams, Rick Hoffman, Meghan Markle, Sarah Rafferty, Torres, and Amanda Schull. Dulé Hill and Katherine Heigl joined Suits as series regulars for the last two seasons following the departures of Adams and Markle in Season 7.
