‘Beckham’ Docuseries Trailer Released by Netflix
Netflix reintroduces the world-famous athlete David Beckham in the Beckham docuseries, coming to the streaming service next month.
The four-part documentary series that “tells the inside story of a global football star and cultural icon” streams on Wednesday, October 4, on Netflix.
Directed by Fisher Stevens and produced by John Battsek, Beckham looks beyond the famous name to get to know the person. “From his humble working-class beginnings in east London, his drive and determination to win, and the battle to find balance between ambition, love, and family, David’s story is one of immense ups and downs.”

Beckham “builds a surprising, personal and definitive story of one of the most recognisable and scrutinised athletes of all time,” per its official synopsis. The docuseries gains “unprecedented access” to David, his wife and recognizable name in her own right, Victoria Beckham, his family, friends, and teammates.
Victoria Beckham took to X to write, “I’m so proud of you #DavidBeckham and everything you’ve achieved.. I can’t wait for you all to see BECKHAM on @netflix from October 4!! xx.”
As announced by Netflix, Beckham went into production in July 2022, when the streaming service revealed that Stevens and Battsek were attached. The trailer spans the highs and lows of David Beckham’s childhood, career, and personal life.
From the early days of falling in love with the beautiful game and dawning #7 at Manchester United in 1993 to falling in love with Victoria and finding life after retirement in 2013, Beckham’s trailer is full of intimate insights into David Beckham.

Beckham‘s trailer also looks at the icon’s setbacks with new commentary from the man himself.
Fans of the sport and the man will immediately notice the now infamous 1998 World Cup finals game when Beckham was sent off the pitch with a red card after kicking Argentina’s Diego Simeone, which led to England’s loss.
The docuseries will also feature interviews with Gary Neville, Eric Cantona, Sir Alex Ferguson, Rio Ferdinand, Paul Scholes, Roy Keane, Mel C (aka Sporty Spice), Diego Simeone, Carlos Queiroz, Luís Figo, Míchel Salgado, Florentino Pérez, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo Nazário and Fabio Capello, and David’s mum and dad, per Netflix’s TUDUM.
The trailer and photos showcase Beckham‘s efforts to bring the global phenomenon down to Earth.
