The Lincoln Lawyer Renewed for Season 3 by Netflix
Court will stay in session for Mickey Haller and Co.!
Netflix renewed The Lincoln Lawyer for a 10-episode third season. It will be based on The Gods of Guilt, the fifth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series by Michael Connelly.
The drama series debuted on the streaming service in May 2022. The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 followed in July 2023. Netflix cites the show’s sophomore outing as quickly climbing “up the Netflix Global Top 10 with a cumulative 40 million views as of August 29, 2023, reaching the Top 10 in 81 countries.”

Based on the fourth book in the series, The Fifth Witness, The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 sees Mickey continue to run “run his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln, as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles,” per Netflix’s logline.
The third season will see Manuel Garcia-Rulfo return as Mickey Haller, Becki Newton as Lorna, Jazz Raycole as Izzy, Angus Sampson as Cisco, and Yaya DaCosta as Andrea Freemann.
Others will also reprise their roles, but one notable missing name is Neve Campbell, who starred as Maggie McPherson in The Lincoln Lawyer‘s first two seasons. Maggie is less prominent in the sophomore season and accepts a job outside Los Angeles in the season finale.
Additionally, the character is absent in the book that Season 3 will explore.

The Hollywood Reporter shares that Campbell won’t return as a series regular, “though sources say the door is open for the character to return in future seasons.”
Co-showrunners and executive producers Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez shared their excitement to continue the series.
“The audience response to the show has been so gratifying and wonderful, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to dive back into Michael Connelly’s universe and bring Mickey Haller and his world to the screen again,” Humphrey and Rodriguez said in a statement.
“We’re thrilled to bring back The Lincoln Lawyer for a third season,” Peter Friedlander, Vice President of Scripted Series, Netflix, US and Canada, shared in a statement.

Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez have taken us deeper into Mickey Haller’s world, building out characters and stories that have connected with our global audience, and we look forward to seeing what they have in store for everyone’s favorite lawyer,” Friedlander added.
“The show continues to top our global lists, and it’s a testament to the work from a creative powerhouse team including Michael Connelly, David E. Kelly, Ross Fineman, and our partners at A+E Studios,” Friedlander concluded.
David E. Kelley created The Lincoln Lawyer for television, while Ted Humphrey developed it for television.
The show from A+E Studios is also executive produced by Kelley, Michael Connelly, Ross Fineman, Barry Jossen, and Tana Jamieson.
