Preview — Killing It Season 2 Continues Hilarious Pursuit Of Wealth And Happiness
This piece was written during the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Without the labor of the writers and actors currently on strike, the series being covered here wouldn’t exist.
Craig Robinson and Claudia O’Doherty return for another season of danger, mishaps, and the pursuit of happiness in Killing It Season 2. However, there are fewer snakes in this season – well of the reptilian kind. The hit Peacock series returns with an eight-episode second season. These episodes are about 30 minutes.
Some of the series favorites return, but there are also a few new characters, including Jackie Boone played by Dot-Marie Jones, and Shayla played by Melanie Field. Killing It Season 2 is just as fun as the first season but a bit darker. Jillian and Craig find themselves in a new set of trouble.
The series expands on some of the themes and storylines from the first season but gives them more depth and danger. Additionally, the season also pushes this lovable pair to their breaking point as they must grapple with more than a few moral dilemmas. It’s a fun season with plenty of hilarious moments, but the heart of Killing It remains with the relationship between Jillian and Craig.

Their dynamic grows stronger and the characters feel even more human and flawed than the first season. However, that’s what makes us like them. Fans of Killing It Season 1 should be pleased with this new season.

Season Description: An ambitious, complex exploration of life and pursuit of the American Dream mixed in with some of the stupidest jokes on television. There are so many amazing guest stars this season while returning all our old favorites. Except for the snakes. There are many fewer snakes this year. But don’t worry, there are plenty more hurdles to jump through, like deadly snails.
