Welcome to a new week and another round of What to Watch on TV for the week of August 13th! Our picks this week include exciting season premieres, fun episodes, a few thrilling season finales, and a movie or two!

Billions – Sunday, August 13th

Solar Opposites – Monday, August 14th

In 1968 Elvis Presley filmed a special as a way for him to return to music after his stint in the Army and starring in a few bad films. The documentary explores what happened behind the scenes through interviews with experts and people who were there. Reinventing Elvis: The ’68 Comeback premieres Tuesday, August 15th on Paramount+.

Justified: City Primeval – Tuesday, August 15th

Raylan’s pursuit of Mansell continues with a few setbacks due to a botched interaction. Justified: City Primeval airs Tuesday, August 15th at 10/9c on FX.

The Wonder Years – Wednesday, August 16th

Season 2 comes to an exciting end as the Williams family gathers to celebrate Clisby’s birthday and then head out on a vacation. The two-episode  The Wonder Years season finale airs Wednesday, August 16th at 9/8c on ABC.

Episode 9 Description: The Williams gather to celebrate Clisby’s 75th birthday — including Bill’s brother Melvin and his daughter Cassie; while Bill and Melvin try to one-up each other for Clisby’s approval, Cassie shares big news with Lillian and Kim.

The Chosen One – Wednesday, August 16th

A young boy named Jodie finds out he has Jesus-like powers and, therefore, must decide whether or not he is ready to answer that call. The Chosen One premieres Wednesday, August 16th on Netflix.

Series Description: Jodie, a twelve-year-old boy from Santa Rosalía, Baja California Sur, after surviving a freak accident, discovers that he has Jesus-like powers: He can turn water into wine, make the crippled walk and perhaps even raise the dead. Killing It – Thursday, August 17th

Last season was all about making money off a python. This season the guys are looking to cash in on an opportunity to farm palmetto berries. Killing It premieres Thursday, August 17th on Peacock.

Series Description: Killing It is a comedy about class, capitalism, and one man’s quest to achieve the American Dream. But first he has to overcome vicious criminals, nature run wild, and worst of all, corporate America.

What We Do in the Shadows – Thursday, August 17th

Laszlo chooses to perform some experiments, which creates some unexpected results, while Nadja gives back to her community. What We Do in the Shadows airs Thursday, August 17th at 10/9c on FX.

Harlan Coben’s Shelter – Friday, August 18th

All his life, Mickey has lived with the knowledge that his father is dead, but when a creepy old woman tells him that isn’t true he starts to lose his mind. Harlan Coben’s Shelter premieres Friday, August 18th on Prime Video.

The Summer I Turned Pretty – Friday, August 18th

Belly and Jeremiah have finally shared a kiss, but this doesn’t guarantee they will finally take that leap into a relationship. After all, Conrad still has feelings for Belly, and anything can happen between these three. The Summer I Turned Pretty season finale airs Friday, August 18th on Prime Video.

Series Description: A girl is caught in a love triangle between two brothers as she deals with her first love and first heartbreak during the perfect summer.

Never Too Late to Celebrate – Saturday, August 19th

Alexis and Carlos PenaVega unite for this romcom that celebrates what it means to come from a Hispanic heritage. As her 30th birthday approaches, Camila meets Javi and finds herself inspired to celebrate her birthday in a special way. Never Too Late to Celebrate airs Saturday, August 19th at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel.

Movie Description: Career-focused dentist Camila is reluctant to celebrate her 30th birthday but inspired by Javi, a Spanish teacher, the two plan a quinceañera-themed party to honor her Hispanic heritage.
