Has ‘Ginny & Georgia’ Been Renewed?
Are you eager to see what’s happening in Wellsbury, Massachusetts after the cliffhanger of Ginny & Georgia‘s Season 2 finale?
Luckily, Netflix renewed the mother/daughter-centric dramedy for two more seasons in May 2023, per Netflix’s TUDUM.
That announcement came after months of anticipation, considering Ginny & Georgia debuted its sophomore season in January 2023. The 10-episode second season ended with one peach of a cliffhanger — Georgia Miller being arrested for murder.

Ginny & Georgia‘s creator and executive producer Sarah Lampert told Netflix’s TUDUM in January how that cliffhanger will impact Ginny, Georgia, and the show’s future.
“When we had to develop the storyline for Season 2, we knew exactly what we wanted Season 3 to be. Georgia needed to kill someone and she needed to kill someone in Wellsbury, Massachusetts, Lampert said.
The victim of Georgia’s latest murder would be Tom Fuller, Cynthia’s husband, who Georgia suffocated to spare his family from further suffering on Ginny & Georgia Season 2 Episode 9, “Kill Gill.”
Private investigator Gabriel Cardova, who followed leads on Georgia all season long, worked with Wellsbury police to have Georgia arrested on her wedding day, which happens to be in the middle of her husband Paul’s mayoral reelection campaign.

So, it’s not surprising that Lampert told Netflix’s TUDUM that Season 3 will throw the characters “new hurdles, new relationships, and new challenges.”
After all, Ginny and Marcus saw many ups and downs in their relationship during Ginny & Georgia Season 2. Ultimately, the pair decide it is best to move forward as friends while Marcus prioritizes his mental health.
“I think relationships, especially based on friendships, are some of the stronger relationships you can have. And I hope they’re endgame, ” Antonia Gentry, who plays Ginny, told E! News.
“There is a constant sense of love, and that has been since they’ve first seen each other. It’s always in flux,” Felix Mallard, who plays Marcus, told E! News.

“You are always going to be seeing where that love is going. Whether they’re together, whether they’re not, whether they’re going to be together forever. That’s what we get to explore,” Mallard added.
Ginny & Georgia Season 3 will presumably explore the budding love triangle between Max, costume designer Silver, and Max’s ex-girlfriend Sophie. Additionally, the second season leaves the door open for Georgia and Joe’s life-changing connection.
Season 1 and 2’s showrunner Debra J. Fisher spoke to The Hollywood Reporter in January about Ginny & Georgia‘s future. We’re not writing any scripts or anything like that, but we know where we want to go. We would love to get in a writers room up and running to get going with this,” Fisher said.
“Seeing everybody watch the show and seeing all the excitement for the show, I will say that it’s been hard to not think about season three and where we want to go,” Fisher continued. Netflix reported that Ginny & Georgia topped the English TV List for four consecutive weeks.

“Because when Sarah and I pitched the show to Netflix, we did pitch four seasons, so we know what we want the end game to be. We know what we want the last episode to be,” Fisher concluded. Fisher won’t return to the coming-of-age drama for its upcoming seasons.
As People reported in May, Sarah Glinski will take over as showrunner. Glinski is best known for her work on Degrassi: The Next Generation, which sees some cast overlap with Ginny & Georgia.
If the video posted to Netflix’s social media accounts in May 2023 is any sign, nearly the entire Ginny & Georgia cast will return for Season 3 — and likely Season 4.
The “Get Ready with Me” video features Ginny & Georgia stars Antonia Gentry, Brianne Howey, Raymond Ablack, Scott Porter, Sara Waisglass, Felix Mallard, Chelsea Clark, Katie Douglas, Diesel La Torraca, and Jennifer Robertson.
