Never Have I Ever is back for its fourth and final season as Devi enters her senior year of high school.
Devi has come a long way since we met her three seasons ago. The end of Season 3 saw a much more mature Devi turn down a spot at a prestigious boarding school.
Instead, she decides to finish high school at Sherman Oaks and spend her final year before college with her mom. Devi’s decision to stay shows how much both characters and their relationship with each other have changed since Season 1.
It isn’t just her relationship with her mom that is in a good place when Season 3 ends. All of Devi’s relationships are healthy and strong by the finale.
Paxton even dedicates his graduation speech to her to thank her for helping him improve himself. It’s quite the glow-up for our girl.
But Devi wouldn’t be Devi without a bit of drama in her life. Season 3 also ends on a pretty major cliffhanger. Devi “cashes in’ the free boink coupon that Ben gave her earlier in the season and has sex with him.
The end of Season 3 gives viewers few clues as to what this big step will mean for the pair. By the look of the Season 4 trailer, though, neither knows how to handle what to do next.
Plus, even though he is accepted to Arizona State in Season 3, Paxton is back at Sherman Oaks High in the trailer and preview images. Does this mean the Paxton -Ben- Devi love triangle isn’t over yet? That certainly seems like a smart bet.
All that’s to say, for all her growth, Devi is still the agent of chaos we love. She has plenty of impulsive decisions to make and messy situations to resolve before she makes it to the graduation stage this season.
