Preview — Cruel Summer Season 2 Episode 6: The Plunge

Sparks fly at Luke’s birthday party in Summer 1999 on Cruel Summer Season 2 Episode 6, “The Plunge.” But between who?

Because Megan tells Isabella that she has feelings for Luke on Cruel Summer Season 2 Episode 5, “All I Want for Christmas,” it wouldn’t be a surprise if Megan and Luke start to view their friendship differently.

However, that new beginning would mean that Isabella decided to end her relationship with Luke in the time between the episodes. 

Based on the set, it seems like Megan and Isabella are the ones who throw the party for Luke — with the help of Debbie.

Less obvious is where and when Parker returns for the first time since Cruel Summer Season 2 Episode 3, “Bloody Knuckles.” The photo teases that Parker overhears something, and with many characters at the same event, that something could be anything.

By Winter 1999, Megan continues to pull away from Luke, testing their relationship, which likely has to do with her and Ned’s dynamic. Meanwhile, Megan and Isabella may grow further apart in Summer 2000 as Megan obsesses over Trevor’s letter about Isabella’s friend Lisa.
