For a couple of seasons now, Cosgrove has been open when it comes to his experiences as a father to his teenage daughter. On Law & Order Season 22 Episode 20, “Class Retreat,” Cosgrove finds out firsthand how difficult his life becomes when his daughter is caught between his two roles — father and cop.
Cosgrove tries his best to keep his daughter out of their investigation when it’s revealed that she knows information regarding the murder of a businessman. Unfortunately, the case relies on her testimony, and no amount of persuasion from Cosgrove can change that.

Price and Maroun try what they can to keep Cosgrove’s daughter’s involvement minimal. However, they can’t seem to see eye-to-eye regarding the legal precedent centered on a defendant’s age.
Whether he likes it or not, Cosgrove’s daughter will have to testify against her friend because she knows things no one else can testify to.
