The Other Two premiered on Comedy Central in 2019 and moved to HBO Max for its second season in 2021.

HBO Max renewed The Other Two the day after its second season concluded in September 2021. With that announcement, the streaming service cited the comedy as ranking “among HBO Max’s most popular series since the release of season two and has seen steady growth each week as new episodes have been released.”

“We are deeply sickened to see HBO Max throw their support behind a show with so many foot jokes, and absolutely thrilled that it’s ours. To everyone who watched, texted, posted, told their friends to watch — thank you!!!,” Kelly and Schneider said upon the Season 3 renewal.

“It has been overwhelming in the best way to see our show resonate with so many people, and we are incredibly grateful to HBO Max for giving us the opportunity to spend another season with this amazing cast and crew,” they added.

Season 3’s logline reads, “After comparing themselves for years to their much-younger pop star brother, ChaseDreams, who is now a full adult, and their talk-show host mother, who’s now more powerful than she could have ever imagined, Brooke and Cary are finally standing on their own two feet — fully “successful” in their own right! And yet, they somehow find themselves comparing themselves to new people once again???”

Lorne Michaels, Andrew Singer, and Blair Beard are executive producers on The Other Two. Micah Frank and Eddie Michael are producers for Broadway Video, and Ally Engelberg and Marc Lieberman are producers for Above Average. Gwen Bialic and MTV Entertainment Studios also serve as producers.
