The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 Trailer Released by Prime Video

News, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

Midge Maisel has stars in her eyes in the trailer for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisels fifth and final season on Prime Video.

Not even a month after releasing the teaser trailer, the streaming service unveiled the Season 5 trailer today, where “Midge finds herself closer than ever to the success she’s dreamed of, only to discover that closer than ever is still so far away.”

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 begins with a three-episode premiere on Thursday, April 14, with new episodes weekly until the series finale on May 26.

The trailer comes a little after one year since Prime Video announced that The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel had been renewed for its final season.

Prime Video shares that “creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino have known “exactly” what the series’ “last images” and “last moment” since The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4 Episode 8, “How Do You Get to Carnegie Hall?”

Per the trailer and first-look photos, the award-winning comedy’s final outing will not only see Rachel Brosnahan’s Midge go to The Gordon Ford Show but also get to know the man behind the program as Midge tries to get her “big life” and “break every single rule there is.”

That sentiment appears to stick with fans of the comedian, even if Midge calls her ability to say everything they think “a terrifying connection.”

Ultimately and per Prime Video’s synopsis, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel‘s final season finds Midge “closer than ever to the success she’s dreamed of, only to discover that closer than ever is still so far away.”

Still, the people in Midge’s life remain optimistic about her career. “They’ll see you for what you are, a goddamn star,” Susie Myerson tells Midge in Season 5 trailer.

However, it seems Midge will run into some familiar faces that she may not want to see, including Milo Ventimiglia’s return as “Handsome Man.” Ventimiglia only appeared on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4 Episode 7, “Ethan…Esther…Chaim.”

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel‘s final season will also see the return of Kelly Bishop and Luke Kirby as Lenny Bruce.

Despite Kirby’s absence from the cast list after being a series regular in Season 4, his presence in the first-look images bodes well for at least one more appearance.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 also stars Tony Shalhoub, Alex Borstein, Marin Hinkle, Michael Zegen, Kevin Pollak, Caroline Aaron, Reid Scott, Alfie Fuller, and Jason Ralph.

The Prime Video series comes from creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino. It is also written and directed by Sherman-Palladino and Palladino.
