News, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

It’s almost time for Midge to step up to the mic for the last time on the fifth and final season of Prime Video’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

Along with a new teaser and key art, the streaming service announced that Season 4 would kick off on Friday, April 14, with a three-episode premiere.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel‘s final season will then unfold with new episodes weekly.

Last season saw Midge Maisel’s journey to rebuild her career and reputation culminate in an honest conversation between her and Lenny Bruce on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4 Episode 8, “How Do You Get to Carnegie Hall?”

From there, Midge has an epiphany in front of The Gordon Ford Show’s snowy billboard where she decides she is ready to “Go forward.”

The teaser for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 hints at Midge’s ascent to stardom as the crowd yells for her attention and the cameras flash in her face.

Per Prime Video’s logline, “Midge finds herself closer than ever to the success she’s dreamed of, only to discover that closer than ever is still so far away” in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel‘s final season.

The streaming service greenlit the final season of the award-winning series last February.

“Amy, Dan, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel have blazed an unparalleled path, elevating the stories we tell about women, challenging the norms in our industry, and forever altering the entertainment landscape with their one-of-a-kind storytelling,” Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, said at the time.

“The dozens of awards cement Maisel’s legacy in many ways, but what’s even more enduring and poignant are the characters Amy created and the joyous, brilliant, singular world she and Dan brought to life,” Salke added.

“This series has meant so much to Prime Video and the effects of its success will be felt long after its final season. I can’t wait for fans and our worldwide Prime Video audience to savor each moment as we embark on the culmination of this groundbreaking and unforgettable series,” Salke concluded.
