Preview — Ted Lasso Season 3 Prepares to Take the Pitch

You can’t always get what you want, except when it comes to Ted Lasso Season 3.

After a hiatus we thought would never end, Apple TV+’s heartfelt sports comedy returns with a vengeance for kindness and curiosity.

Ted Lasso is prepared to secure AFC Richmond a victory, but drama off the pitch proves the team’s greatest opponent this season. Nate and Rupert lead the charge in West Ham’s rivalry with Richmond, while Ted and the Diamond Dogs grapple with losing one of their own.

Keeley and Roy fans won’t have to wait much longer for Ted Lasso to reveal the fate of their relationship.

Regardless the couple will face separate paths to success this season as Keeley navigates the baggage and isolation that comes with being her own boss. Meanwhile, Roy heals old wounds from his footballer days by taking on the assistant coach position.

But he won’t do it alone as Jamie seeks out their reluctant friendship for guidance.

Even though Rebecca is focused on defeating Rupert, the universe may also have something else in store for her.

Ted’s work to get his mental health under control will be tested when his family’s issues back home become too loud to ignore. Soon, Ted will have to ask himself if he has outstayed his welcome with AFC Richmond.

And dynamics in the locker room will shift dramatically with the addition of a new player.

This team will need a whole lot of “believe” when they step on the pitch for what could be their final season. But if there is any show we believe in to pull off a win, it’s Ted Lasso.

Season Description: The newly-promoted AFC Richmond faces ridicule as media predictions widely peg them as last in the Premier League, and Nate, now hailed as the “wonder kid,” has gone to work for Rupert at West Ham United. In the wake of Nate’s contentious departure from Richmond, Roy Kent steps up as assistant coach alongside Beard.

Meanwhile, while Ted deals with pressures at work, he continues to wrestle with his own personal issues back home, Rebecca is focused on defeating Rupert, and Keeley navigates being the boss of her own PR agency. Things seem to be falling apart both on and off the pitch, but Team Lasso is set to give it their best shot anyway.
