What to Watch on TV: The Flash, Abbott Elementary, and You

Welcome to a new week and another round of What to Watch on TV for the week of February 5th! This week promises some exciting premieres, holiday-centered stories, and other fun episodes to tune in for.

This week we feature The Flash, Abbott Elementary, You, and many more!

Here are our recommendations for what to watch on TV this week:

1923 – Sunday, February 5th

After nearly a month off, the Dutton family returns with Cara taking on more of a leadership role. In a time when women aren’t taken seriously outside of the home, Cara Dutton is telling the world that there is no time for such politics on a cattle ranch. 1923 airs Sunday, February 5th on Paramount+.

Series Description: The Duttons face a new set of challenges in the early 20th century, including the rise of Western expansion, Prohibition, and the Great Depression.

Mayfair Witches – Sunday, February 5th

Rowan and Sip are forced into a complicated situation when they become trapped in the First Street House. To escape they must confront many mysteries while Odette makes a horrifying discovery. Mayfair Witches airs Sunday, February 5th at 9/8c on AMC.

Our Blooming Youth – Monday, February 6th

The latest South Korean romantic drama centers on Min Jae Yi as she struggles through the aftermath of her family’s death. She meets Lee Hwan, a crown prince, who sweeps her away from her dismal life. Our Blooming Youth premieres Monday, February 6th on Rakuten Viki.

Series Description: Quiet and gentle, Min Jae Yi (Jeon So Nee, When My Love Blooms and Scripting Your Destiny) is everything a good daughter of a prominent family should be. American Auto – Tuesday, February 7th

Having made strides to restore the general public’s faith in her, Katherine must think on her feet when they lose their spokesperson. It becomes her mission in life to woo Andy Richter as a replacement. American Auto airs Tuesday, February 7th at 8:30/7:30c on NBC.

Episode Description: When Payne loses their spokesperson, Katherine and the team go to great lengths to woo a new celebrity — Andy Richter — only to have second thoughts.

The Conners – Wednesday, February 8th

Darlene’s house starts having a few plumbing issues, which cause her to lash out at Dan, who put in the plumbing in the first place. Jackie is distracted by the extremely difficult task of finding a caregiver for an ailing Bev. The Conners airs Wednesday, February 8th at 8/7c on ABC.

Episode Description: Darlene has issues with Dan’s plumbing work in her new house; Jackie tries to find a caregiver for Bev.

The Flash – Wednesday, February 8th

The residents of Central City come back for one final season in the Season 9 premiere. Barry and Iris find themselves in a time loop that forces them to relive the same day over and over again. The Flash airs Wednesday, February 8th at 8/7c on The CW.

Episode Description: Barry and Iris relive the same day over and over again; Joe has a heart-to-heart with Cecile; friends and foes, old and new, begin to descend upon Central City.

Abbott Elementary – Wednesday, February 8th

Janine deals with her first experiences with a student crush while everyone else is focused on their plans to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Abbott Elementary airs Wednesday, February 8th at 9/8c on ABC.

Episode Description: The Abbott teachers discuss their relationships and plans for Valentine’s Day; Janine finds out one of her students has a crush on her; Ava sits in on Jacob’s Black History class after receiving a complaint.

Not Dead Yet – Wednesday, February 8th

The two-episode premiere introduces us to Nell, played by Gina Rodriguez, who has just started a new job as an obituary writer for the local paper. Not Dead Yet airs Wednesday, February 8th at 8:30/7:30c and 9:30/8:30c on ABC.

Episode 1 Description: Nell attempts to restart her life in a new place with a new job writing obituaries at the local paper and a new roommate; Nell receives life advice from an unlikely source.

Episode 2 Description: As Nell tries to settle into her new job, she gets increasingly annoyed by her latest ghost; Edward works on a project that sparks Nell’s journalistic curiosity.

You – Thursday, February 9th

Joe is back for the first part of Season 4. He’s in London and using the monicker Professor Jonathan Moore. Joe is determined to bury his past and focus on the future — a career in academia. You Season 4 Part 1 airs Thursday, February 9th on Netflix.

Season Description: After his previous life went up in flames, Joe Goldberg has fled to Europe to escape his ‘messy’ past, adopt a new identity, and, of course, to pursue true love. But Joe soon finds himself in the strange new role of reluctant detective as he discovers he may not be the only killer in London.

Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special – Thursday, February 9th

Harley and Ivy are all set to celebrate their first Valentine’s Day together in the latest animated Harley Quinn-related special. Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special airs Thursday, February 9th on HBO Max.

Special Description: Harley and Ivy celebrate their very first Valentine’s Day together.

Criminal Minds: Evolution – Thursday, February 9th

In the season finale, Rossi struggles with the limits of his mental strength and tech know-how when he is captured by Voit. Criminal Minds: Evolution airs Thursday, February 9th on Paramount+.

Episode Description: With Rossi in Voit’s clutches, he grapples with the limits of his technical know-how and mental strength. As the BAU tightens their grip on Voit, he reveals just how far he’s willing to take his deadly crusade.

Love to Hate You – Friday, February 10th

The latest K-Drama focuses on an attorney and an A-list actor who don’t trust others falling in love once they are forced to date. Love to Hate You airs Friday, February 10th on Netflix.

Series Description: For an attorney who despises losing to men and an A-list actor who distrusts women, love means nothing; that is, until they’re forced to date each other.

Your Place or Mine – Friday, February 10th

Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher team up in this rom-com that sees best friends swapping houses and lives for a week. Your Place or Mine airs Friday, February 10th on Netflix.

Film Description: Debbie (Reese Witherspoon) and Peter (Ashton Kutcher) are best friends and total opposites. She craves routine with her son in LA; he thrives on change in NY. When they swap houses and lives for a week they discover what they think they want might not be what they really need.

At Midnight – Friday, February 10th

An actress and a hotel manager find themselves falling in love despite their different lives and backgrounds. At Midnight airs Friday, February 10th on Paramount+.

Film Description: A charming romantic comedy, At Midnight centers around Alejandro, an ambitious hotel manager, and Sophie, a movie star navigating the politics of Hollywood. He’s focused on opening his own boutique hotel. She’s trying to focus on shooting her new superhero film, “Super Society 3,” in hopes of getting her own spinoff, but catches her co-star (and boyfriend!) Adam cheating. Fate strikes when the shoot brings them all to Alejandro’s hotel in Mexico. Despite their radically different lives, Alejandro and Sophie begin to secretly meet At Midnight.
