This is the way: Disney+ series The Mandalorianis finally set to return after a two-year hiatus, bringing stoic hero Din Djarin and his adorable sidekick Grogu back to our screens.
Fans have been eagerly waiting for the return of the Star Warsseries, with its Spaghetti Western in space vibes, the compelling central relationship between a lonely bounty hunter and the alien child he’s seemingly adopted, and its rich historical lore centered on Mandalorian culture.
Though The Mandalorianlast aired in late 2020, its titular hero played a large role in the 2022 spinoff series, The Book of Boba Fett, where he basically took over the show for big chunks of its back half. There, Din was reunited with Grogu, who gave up his Jedi training to help his adopted space dad, and the season finale saw the pair head off together in a restored Naboo fighter.
Their destination? Mandalore, where we’ll most likely see Din seek forgiveness for his previous transgressions: Removing his helmet and letting other beings see his face.
As for his Grogu, if the trailers are any indication, it looks as though we may finally learn a bit about where this adorable little creature comes from and how he survived the Jedi purge.
