Preview — Quantum Leap Season 1 Episode 13: Family Style
Ben goes from dad to daughter on Quantum Leap Season 1 Episode 13, “Family Style.”
After helping the Mendéz family on Quantum Leap Season 1 Episode 12, “Let Them Play,” as the father of a trans daughter, Ben leaps into the daughter of the matriarch of an Indian family.
The family that Ben leaps into runs a restaurant together, and Ben’s mission for this leap is to save it before it burns down. But as with most of Ben’s leaps, there is more to the situation than simply preventing something from happening.
The key to saving the restaurant is no doubt untangling family dynamics or secrets that Ben will learn about as he bonds with the mother of the woman he has leaped into.
Elsewhere on the episode, viewers can expect some follow-up on the big reveal from “Let Them Play.”
At the end of that episode, Magic and Jenn learn that not only is Ian connected to why Ben made his first leap, but that they will one day leap into a woman named Dottie and actually be the reason (or one of the reasons) Ben makes makes that fateful choice.
The twist with Ian is a pretty big one. It changes everything we thought we knew about Ben’s decision and creates a lot of new questions and complications for the team. Still, since Ian hasn’t yet made their leap, it’s likely we won’t get all the answers we are looking for on “Family Style.”
