Blindspotting Season 2 Premiere Date Announced by STARZ
Blindspotting will welcome fans back to the ordeal when Season 2 premieres in April on STARZ.
The half-hour comedy returns with a special two-episode premiere that will air linearly on STARZ and begin at 9/8c on Friday, April 14.
The subsequent episodes of Blindspotting‘s sophomore season will air on Fridays at 9/8c, and all new episodes will be available to stream on the STARZ app, as well as all STARZ streaming and on-demand platforms in the U.S. and Canada.

Blindspotting takes place six months after the 2018 film of the same name starring Casal and Diggs. The duo serves as co-creators on the STARZ show, with Casal also starring alongside Jasmine Cephas Jones.
The series focuses on Jones’ Ashley, “who was nipping at the heels of a middle-class life in Oakland until Miles, her partner of 12 years and father of their son, Sean was suddenly incarcerated, leaving her to navigate a chaotic life when she is forced to move in with Miles’s mother, Rainey, and sister, Trish,” per the official synopsis.
Casal reprises his role as Miles, while Atticus Woodward joins as Sean, Helen Hunt as Rainey, and Jaylen Barron as Trish.
Blindspotting also stars Benjamin Earl Turner as Earl and Candace Nicholas-Lippman as Janelle, who happens to be Daveed Diggs’ Collin’s sister.

STARZ announced last April that Season 2 was in production in Los Angeles and Oakland, California, with new and returning cast members.
LeVar Burton, Katlynn Simone Smith, Tamera Tomakili, and Tim Chantarangsu join Blindspotting‘s new season in recurring roles. Other newcomers include the rappers E-40, P-Lo, and Too $hort, who will guest star as themselves in Season 2.
Blindspotting‘s upcoming season will include Season 1’s recurring cast of Margo Hall as Nancy, April Absynth as Jacque, Lance Holloway as Cuddie, Andrew Chappelle as Scotty, and Utkarsh Ambudkar as Niles Turner in expanded recurring roles.
With the announcement of the show’s premiere date, STARZ unveiled the season’s synopsis and first-look images at Season 2.

The upcoming season picks up nine months after Ashley and Miles’s prison nuptials on Blindspotting Season 1 Episode 8, “Bride or Die.”
Blindspotting Season 2’s synopsis reads as follows:
Ashley is doing backflips to try and raise their son on her own. She is reaching her breaking point and is taking it out on everyone around her. Miles is adjusting to life on the inside and counting down the days before their first family visitation weekend at San Quentin. Rainey is doing her best to make Ashley and Sean feel at home while trying to find a way to stay connected to her son behind bars, but Ashley holds all the cards. Trish’s new business is flourishing, but she is dealing with jealousy issues now that her best friend and business partner Jacque is dating Cuddie. Janelle is growing frustrated with Ashley’s constant need for support and has begun to miss her life back in Bali. And then of course Earl, fresh out of prison himself for unintentionally breaking his probation, has moved out of Nancy’s house and is trying to re-establish a relationship with his own family, and his past. Welcome back to the ordeal.

Rafael Casal and Daveed Diggs co-created the comedy series. The duo serves as executive producers and writers. Casal also serves as showrunner and director of four episodes.
Jess Wu Calder and Keith Calder of Snoot Entertainment, Emily Gerson Saines, Ken Lee, and Tim Palen also serve as executive producers. Wu Calder also directed two episodes in Blindspotting Season 2.
Senior Vice President of Original Programming Kathryn Tyus-Adair is the executive overseeing Blindspotting on behalf of STARZ. Claire Wendlandt is the executive overseeing the series on behalf of Lionsgate.
